Girls on the Run | Denver Event Photography

Girls on the Run is a transformational learning program for 8 to 13 year-old girls. We teach life skills through dynamic, conversation-based lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k running event. The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness. Girls on the Run were awarded grant money from Colorado Business Bank’s nonprofit – COBiz Cares.

Growing Home | Denver Corporate Photographer

Growing Home “Houses the Homeless, Feeds Families, and Helps Children Succeed.” We believe in taking a holistic approach to fighting poverty, addressing both the immediate and long-term needs of families in our community. Growing Home provides homeless prevention services; parenting and children’s programming; a food pantry, a family shelter, life skills classes, affordable and transformational housing, and the Growing Hope Center’s classroom, resource area, and computer lab. In 2011, Growing Home assisted over 5,600 unduplicated families, or over 19,000 individuals.

We are proud of the “Growing Home way” of helping, of treating clients with respect and dignity as we work with them to overcome the many obstacles families face.

Our mission is to guide children and their families on the path to a brighter future. We envision the community working together so that all children and their families have a place to call home, food on the table, and the opportunity to pursue their dreams.

Growing Home was a recipient of grant money from Colorado Business Bank’s non-profit – COBiz Cares.

Biz Bash | Denver Event Photography

CoBiz Financial Chairman and CEO Steve Bangert was tired of having to wear a suit and tie to every philanthropic event that he supported in the Denver community. After many conversations with Richard Dalton, EVP and COO of CoBiz, they came up with an idea for a fundraiser that they would both eagerly attend – AND invite their friends!

In 2001 the Biz Bash was created and combines music, mingling, a unique silent auction and delicious food – all to raise money for a great cause. The Biz Bash was well-received and quickly became renowned for being more black t-shirt than black tie, more dancing than programming, more epicurean than etiquette and more fun than you’ll ever have at a charity event. The mission of the Biz Bash is to produce a benefit concert that raises funds for worthy causes in both Arizona and Colorado. Our proven success comes from the support of CoBiz employees, clients, partners and friends who continue to believe in the Biz Bash’s purpose year after year.

Since its inception, the Biz Bash has raised more than $3.3 million for local non-profit organizations in both Arizona and Colorado. After becoming a qualified beneficiary, each non-profit selected receives monies for two consecutive years. Net proceeds from the Biz Bash have ranged from $100,000 to $270,000 – an amazing feat for only one night!

If you’d like to experience philanthropy in a truly unique atmosphere, please contact us to learn more about how to get yourself and/or your company involved in our annual event. We look forward to having you join us in our commitment to making a difference in our community.

Los Lonely Boys rocked the house for the 12th Annual Biz Bash on April 26, 2012. Their smooth sound was not “far from Heaven” and kept our guests dancing all night! With their help, hundreds of thousands of dollars were raised for two Colorado charities. Check back in November for information about next year’s entertainment!
